Ph.D. Candidate
Gadfly is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences. Their research primarily focuses on aquatic invasive species and the ways in which these species are described and discussed in the context of Early Detection and Rapid Response practices in the Great Lakes region. They are especially interested in how different conceptions of 'risk', 'invasive', 'management', and 'engagement' shape stakeholder participation with ongoing management efforts. In their spare time they enjoy gaming, camping, and queer advocacy.
