Jessie Armstrong

Master's Student

Jessie is a MSc in Environmental Science student who focuses on connecting Indigenous and Western science-based knowledge in aquatic research. Working with the community of Paulatuk and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) she will be looking at the co-creation and co-management of the Anguniaqvia niqiqyuam Marine Protected Area (ANMPA) within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR), as defined by the Western Arctic Claim - Inuvialuit Final Agreement. 

 

Jessie is Algonquin and holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
